About Us
HealthTech Centre is located in Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) Kwai Chung Campus, a member of Vocational Training Council (VTC). It was established with the support of Applied Science (AS) Discipline in 2017. Its mission is to promote the use of health technology, raise public awareness on community health and offer vocational and professional education and training (VPET) for healthcare-related industries.
The Centre provides advanced and professional facilities for manpower training in the health service sectors. It enables young people to learn about the latest industry developments and technologies, offering a platform of knowledge and technology exchanges for the industry.
Sophisticated equipment and training games are available in HealthTech Centre, including Virtual Reality Smart Glove, Multimedia Cognitive Training Game. The Centre is to serve the public, especially the elders in the different districts, such as Kwai Tsing district, offering preventive healthcare maintenance and promoting elderly and community services to the community. Through the Centre, the Applied Science Discipline will continuously collaborate with its industry partners on research and development, allowing the Centre to serve as a skill and technology transfer centre for the health care industry.
